This position is based in the Tampa, Florida (FL) office and is not remote.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a team of engineers and designers on a variety of projects. You will flourish on both building meaningful internal and external professional relationships and work closely and collaboratively with other industry-leading professionals, various jurisdictions, and contractors.

Responsibilities

  • Project Management role in conjunction with lead engineer responsibilities.
  • Oversee the HVAC design of projects from concept to completion, including continuous interface with the design team and clients.
  • Write responses to Requests for Proposals and Requests for Qualifications for various clients and marketing opportunities.
  • Mentor and coordinate the work of designers and other technical staff on various mechanical or multi-discipline projects.
  • Manage and deliver tasks under minimal supervision and guidance.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of related experience.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
  • Proven design experience with comfort and HVAC systems and related controls.
  • Proven design experience with plumbing systems including water, sewer, and gas.
  • Experience producing engineering and energy studies including COMcheck, Title 24.
  • Experience mentoring and coordinating the work of EITs, designers, and other technical staff on various mechanical or multi-discipline projects.
  • Able to manage and deliver tasks under minimal supervision and guidance.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and critical thinking ability.
  • Ability to work individually or in a multi-discipline team.

Skills

  • Experience in AutoCAD and Revit is a plus.
