Mechanical Engineer

My client is a leading manufacturing company who is growing. They are looking to add a Mechanical Engineer to their team responsible for the design of sheet metal products.

Responsibilities

• Utilize mechanical design expertise to create, modify, and improve mechanical systems and components for manufacturing processes.
• Use CAD software to create detailed 3D models and technical drawings of sheet metal products.
• Lead and manage projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve complex engineering problems.
• Conduct thorough analyses of mechanical systems to identify areas for improvement and propose innovative solutions.
• Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies for mechanical equipment and machinery.
• Ensure all mechanical designs and processes comply with industry standards and regulations.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate the efficiency of mechanical systems, recommending and implementing enhancements as needed.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in mechanical engineering and manufacturing technology, applying this knowledge to your work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, specifically within the manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in mechanical design and CAD software, such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
• Proven experience in project management, with the ability to lead projects from conception to completion.
• In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes and industry standards.

Pay

$85,000 - $110,000 per year
