Responsibilities
- Exceptional attendance including working every day, on time, as scheduled.
- Promote and maintain IKO safety goals and ensure a safe work environment for all employees.
- Leads safety and housekeeping efforts and corrective actions within department, assigned projects, and areas with goal of zero incidents.
- Create detailed designs, BOMs, and engineering drawings for mechanical components, systems, and products.
- Analyze and evaluate designs for functionality, structural integrity, and safety.
- Create detailed product specifications, including material requirements and manufacturing processes.
- Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to develop 3D models and prototypes and perform form, fit, and function analysis during modeling.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production and electrical engineers, HSE, and project managers to ensure seamless integration of electrical and mechanical components with a focus on continuous improvement and reliability.
- Ensure that designs meet industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
- Innovate and develop solutions to engineering challenges and problems.
- Develop maintenance schedules and procedures for mechanical equipment and systems.
- Support mechanical maintenance by training, troubleshooting, and resolving equipment malfunctions and breakdowns.
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance to extend equipment lifespan.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date engineering documentation and reports.
- Communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal and presentation), with the ability to effectively work with others in a team environment.
- Demonstrated initiative and the ability to handle complex assignments with a proactive attitude.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience in utilizing statistics to solve problems and monitor processes.
- Ability to develop and manage a budgetary control process for areas of responsibility.
- Analytical, data-driven problem solving and action planning skills.
- Ability to make independent and well thought out decisions.
- Organized, self-starter, results oriented, unique problem solver.
- Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Proficiency in CAD software, 3D modeling, engineering analysis tools, and simulation software.
