Responsibilities
- Join a highly capable, multi-discipline team supporting power and energy projects in various sectors.
- Design and specify power generation fluid systems such as steam, condensate, fuel gas, cooling water, compressed air, and similar systems.
- Utilize software for detailed fluid analysis or modeling.
- Develop from a mechanical or lead engineer to a project engineer and potentially into a project manager or engineering manager.
- Collaborate with engineers and designers from multiple disciplines.
- Mentor younger engineers and share your expertise.
- Direct a small team of engineers and designers.
- Travel for site surveys, technical conferences, client meetings, and monitoring of construction (typically less than 10%).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Professional Engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered (e.g., Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license)
- Previous experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office and standard Power Market Sector design software (e.g., PLS CAD, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, AutoPipe, and Revit)
Qualifications
- Experience with the design and specification of power generation fluid systems including steam, condensate, fuel gas, cooling water, compressed air, and similar systems is preferred.
- Significant experience with utilizing software for detailed fluid analysis or modeling is a plus.
