Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Join a highly capable, multi-discipline team supporting power and energy projects in various sectors.
• Design and specify power generation fluid systems such as steam, condensate, fuel gas, cooling water, compressed air, and similar systems.
• Utilize software for detailed fluid analysis or modeling.
• Develop from a mechanical or lead engineer to a project engineer and potentially into a project manager or engineering manager.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers from multiple disciplines.
• Mentor younger engineers and share your expertise.
• Direct a small team of engineers and designers.
• Travel for site surveys, technical conferences, client meetings, and monitoring of construction (typically less than 10%).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• Professional Engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered (e.g., Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license)
• Previous experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector
• Computer skills in Microsoft Office and standard Power Market Sector design software (e.g., PLS CAD, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, AutoPipe, and Revit)

Qualifications

• Experience with the design and specification of power generation fluid systems including steam, condensate, fuel gas, cooling water, compressed air, and similar systems is preferred.
• Significant experience with utilizing software for detailed fluid analysis or modeling is a plus.
