Mechanical Engineer
Essential Responsibilities & Duties
- Broad range of projects including: Mechanical engineering and analysis with an emphasis in water resources related projects.
- Site development
- Techical specification writing
- Construction Engineering Support
- Experience or desire to work in developing and understanding piping and instrumentation diagrams.
- Use of or experience in Revit or other 3D design software is a plus.
- Ability to convert field information and work with a team to produce final design drawings.
- Prepare and evaluate project construction cost estimates and alternatives.
- Proven ability to work with various engineers on multiple discipline projects.
- Preparation of technical memos, reports, and construction specifications.
- Construction Experience including Field Observation of Administrative Tasks.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in relevant field.
- BS in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) is preferred but will consider candidates with other engineering degrees and related experience or interests.
- Strong interest or design experience with pumping, and water systems.
- GPS, GIS and 3D design software training or experience is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability and desire to obtain Professional Engineer license is preferred.

Pay Range For This Position
$53.00 - $65.00/hour

About the Role
GEI’s Mechanical engineering group needs staff to support its growing client base and is seeking an associate to senior level Mechanical Engineer.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must have excellent academic credentials and a strong desire to work on a broad range of small to larger size projects related to water resources from planning to final design, construction engineering support, and start-up.
Skills
The ideal candidate will have experience with CAD design, analytical modeling and other engineering software and will possess the skills needed to apply such tools when completing the various phases of projects from conceptual planning and analysis, through final design.
