Mechanical Engineer
Job Responsibilities
- Work with suppliers, contractors, and clients to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain the highest levels of business ethics is imperative.
- Clear, accurate transmittal of knowledge/data between clients, cross-functional teams, and management.
- Schedule Management – compilation and maintenance of project schedules, including regular communication with customers and internally to ensure transfer of status and schedule adherence.
- Management of own workload to achieve the overall schedule.
- Concept Drawings: Concept designs, including 3D model, General Arrangement drawing, and P&ID to facilitate the transfer of information and required design intent against client or Esco-driven user requirement specifications.
- Review with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with specifications and feasibility of design.
- Sourcing of custom and standard components, prototyping, and conducting ergonomic trials to ensure equipment suitability for their process.
- Documentation: Preparation of Design & Functional Specifications, O&M Manuals, Technical Files, works instructions, and validation documentation.
- Hand over the documentation pack and presentation to production to allow sufficient transfer of data and knowledge for the manufacture and assembly of the new product.
- Budgets: Awareness and tracking to adhere to budgets and compliance through value-engineered designs, sourcing of parts, specification adherence, schedule, time management, and planning.
- Assembly / Testing: Mainly a transfer of knowledge to the production team on how to assemble and test; however, hands-on assistance should be capable as required in the assembly and testing of equipment, including validation of equipment with the customer.
- Site Visits: Site surveys of installation requirements, access, and highlighting of design restrictions. Produce meeting minutes and schedule / delegate actions accordingly.
Job Qualifications
- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience In Mechanical Design Of Systems, Including OEM experience designing equipment/systems.
- 3D Design utilizing SolidWorks.
- 2D manufacturing drawings.
- BOM generation.
- P&ID & pneumatic schematic diagram interpretation.
- Support Technical writing as required (O&M Manual, Technical File, Assembly Instructions, Design & Functional Specifications).
- General testing knowledge of Isolator systems.
- General knowledge of industry guidelines & regulations.
- Proficient verbal and written ability in the English language.
