Mechanical Engineer
About the role
The Mechanical Engineer (Entry Level) supports the research, design, development, improvement, and validation of mechanical products, components, systems, and processes. Working closely with engineering, manufacturing, and operations, this role applies fundamental mechanical engineering principles to defined tasks and portions of larger projects under close supervision, following established procedures, policies, and engineering standards to support product performance, quality, cost, manufacturability, and operational reliability. This position is currently eligible for DeZURIK’s hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities
- Research, design, and develop mechanical and electromechanical products, components, tools, machines, and systems using established engineering principles.
- Support product development activities including concept generation, prototype development, testing, validation, and design refinement.
- Assist in the development or modification of new and existing products, including product line extensions and customer-requested designs.
- Apply standardized engineering methods to select, evaluate, and test materials, components, and assemblies for suitability, performance, and reliability.
- Participate in the preparation and review of engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials (BOMs), and test or validation plans.
- Utilize CAD/CAE tools to model designs and produce detailed engineering documentation.
- Support manufacturing and operations by ensuring designs meet quality, cost, safety, reliability, and manufacturability requirements.
- Evaluate product or system performance and assist in identifying design improvements or corrective actions to resolve issues or inefficiencies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and other engineering disciplines to support product and process objectives.
