Mechanical Engineer
About the Role
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing complex industrial process systems or power utility systems. Your expertise in areas such as dust/vapor ductwork analysis, high-energy piping systems, and steam turbines will be essential for developing efficient and reliable solutions. You will manage project activities, including scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating with clients and team members. This hybrid role allows flexibility from our Harrisburg or Charlotte, NC locations.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement complex industrial process systems or power utility systems.
- Perform analysis on dust/vapor ductwork, high-energy piping systems, and steam turbines.
- Manage project activities, including scheduling, budgeting, and client coordination.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and travel as needed.
- Persist in accomplishing objectives despite obstacles and setbacks.
- Exceed goals and push self and others to achieve results.
- Comply with all client and industry safety requirements.
- Simplify technical issues through excellent oral and written communication.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 1-2+ years of relevant business experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office productivity software.
- Experience with AutoCAD/Inventor/Plant3D or similar design tools.
- Revit experience is helpful.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
