About the role
CCI Facility Support Services, LLC is currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer with expertise in design, systems integration, and program management to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in CREO, ANSYS structural analysis, and knowledge of both mechanical and electrical components and systems. This role involves the interpretation and creation of complex component and assembly drawings, as well as integration of electrical circuits into mechanical systems. The position requires strong communication skills, an understanding of manufacturing processes, and knowledge of aerodynamics.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Utilize CREO or equivalent CAD software to design, interpret, and create component and assembly drawings.
- Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and kinematic analysis to ensure the accuracy and functionality of mechanical systems.
- Conduct structural analysis using ANSYS or equivalent software to validate mechanical designs.
- Integrate electrical circuits, components, and assemblies into mechanical systems, ensuring compatibility and functionality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth integration of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Manage engineering programs, ensuring deadlines and project requirements are met while overseeing multiple tasks.
- Present technical findings, updates, and reports to both internal teams and external clients.
- Apply knowledge of aerodynamics to influence system designs for optimized performance.
- Understand and apply manufacturing principles to ensure designs are optimized for production, reducing time and cost.
- Ensure compliance with standard drawing practices and provide technical guidance on interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering or equivalent field of study.
- 0-3 years engineering experience, preferably in a manufacturing background.
- US Citizenship required.
- Ability to pass background checks and gain access to customer facilities.
- Up to 25% travel within in the U.S. and Canada.
- Proficient in CREO or equivalent CAD software.
- Strong understanding of standard drawing practices and the ability to read, interpret, and create complex component and assembly drawings.
- Able to manage projects, resources, and timelines effectively.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills to engage with stakeholders and present technical concepts clearly.
- Knowledge of ANSYS or similar software for performing structural analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to industries such as defense, aerospace, or other highly regulated sectors.
- Knowledge of manufacturing techniques and their application to mechanical and electrical systems integration.
- Hands-on experience in designing complex integrated systems that involve both mechanical and electrical components.
- Knowledge of program management.
- Understanding of aerodynamics and its application to mechanical designs.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and an ability to apply them to the design and production stages.
- Knowledge of electrical circuits, components, and integration with mechanical systems.
- Competent in kinematic analysis and GD&T principles.
