Mechanical Engineer
We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, and improve mechanical and electrical products. You will collaborate across departments to ensure products meet market demands, are manufacturable, and serviceable. This role serves as a technical expert, managing change, sustaining product performance, and driving continuous improvements.
Responsibilities
- Operate precision electronic measuring devices.
- Interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
- Maintain collaborative relationships to achieve team goals and foster a positive work environment.
- Adapt to change and embrace new approaches.
- Develop work plans and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Coordinate with Product Management, Engineering, and Sales to translate market requests into design specifications.
- Revise designs to improve manufacturability and ease of production.
- Assist in continuous improvement of design system standards.
- Participate in product development involving mechanical and electrical systems.
- Evaluate new technologies, materials, fastening methods, and corrosion-resistant options.
- Develop 2D and 3D models and drawings using CAD software.
- Serve as a technical resource to resolve customer and internal inquiries.
- Train and support engineers, technicians, and designers.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain teams to specify cost-effective components.
- Prepare calculations, equipment layouts, detail drawings, and bills of material (BOMs).
- Participate in manufacturing and assembly of prototype components and products.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2+ years of engineering experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2+ years of CAD experience using 3D design software, including SolidWorks.
- ERP/MRP system experience.
- Proficiency in Mechanical Design and SolidWorks.
- Experience with New Product Development.
- Ability to read and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and data interpretation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of steel alloys, material strengths, and manufacturing tolerances.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and quality principles.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience evaluating new technologies, materials, and engineering solutions.
Work Environment
This role is based in a collaborative and dynamic work environment requiring flexibility and adaptability. The position involves working with precision electronic measuring devices and CAD software while contributing to a positive, team-oriented culture.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year. Individual compensation will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent factors.
