About the role
Designing, building, testing, and iterating on mechanical systems for solar assembly
Tracking, investigating, and resolving hardware issues with robots
Communicating with other engineers to integrate new designs
Requirements
- Experienced with industry-standard CAD software (Onshape)
- Knowledgeable in both part fabrication and outsourcing
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment
- Excellent written communication skills
- Based in or willing to relocate to the SF Bay Area, and able to work 4-5 days/week from our San Leandro HQ
- Able to travel 10-15% to field (solar construction sites) to work directly with our product in its deployment environment
- Excited to see our robots deployed onto actual solar farms!
Qualifications
- Experience working with industrial robot arms, end effectors, and automation systems (nice to have)
- A 4-year degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
