About the role

Join our dynamic team of engineers dedicated to advancing sustainable infrastructure solutions. Our global Mechanical Engineering Department covers a wide range of projects including Power, Gas, Fuels & Chemicals, Water and Waste Water, Data Centers, and Mining projects.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with various design engineering execution teams across the US and internationally
  • Perform all aspects of mechanical system design engineering and analysis for assigned systems
  • Acquire and apply knowledge of design guides, standards, systems, engineering codes, and B&Veatch policies
  • Develop and execute complex engineering work for large or multiple projects
  • Manage budget, schedule, and quality requirements for complex engineering tasks
  • Provide technical guidance and mentor junior staff members
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on moderately complex projects
  • Identify client needs and drivers, and develop solutions
  • Serve as a technical specialist in a defined area, providing guidance and developing successors
  • Support performance management, mentoring, and career development

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized accredited program
  • Minimum of 5 years related work experience
  • Active engineering registration or licensure in relevant fields
  • Experience in areas such as Instrument and/or Service Air Systems, Demineralized (DM) water supply and make up systems, Service and potable water supply system, Natural, hydrogen, and nitrogen gas Supply System, Closed cycle cooling water system, High Pressure / Intermediate Pressure / Low / Auxiliary Steam system, Feedwater and condensate systems, CO2 Supply System, Pipe sizing calculations, P&ID development, Air, gas, water & steam systems

Skills

  • Knowledge of design guides, standards, systems, engineering codes, and B&Veatch policies
  • Ability to independently execute tasks in compliance with the B&Veatch quality program
  • Experience in various areas of mechanical system design engineering

Schedule

This position requires a typical office environment with prolonged periods of sitting and computer use. Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based on manager discretion, job performance, and work assignments.
