At NOVA, we design and build cutting-edge systems—and we’re looking for a Mechanical & Electrical Assembler who’s excited to roll up their sleeves and be part of something hands-on.
Responsibilities
- Comply with all safety guidelines and use all Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings to assemble products and subassemblies.
- Assemble mechanical parts, components, and equipment using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
- Assemble electrical parts, components, panels, and equipment using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
- Perform fitting, alignment, and adjustment of mechanical parts.
- Conduct inspections of completed assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues during the assembly process.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with engineers and quality control teams to resolve assembly issues.
- Record production data and complete documentation as required.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Ability to follow proper safety protocols.
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings and blueprints.
- Proficiency with hand tools and mechanical equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Good literacy & numeracy skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Good teamwork.
- Good recording skills.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with production software (optional but preferred).
- Familiarity with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Electrical assembly knowledge.
- Forklift operator experience.
- Ability to meet deadlines with limited supervision.
- Self-motivated and self-directed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certificate.
- Technical training or schooling.
- 7+ years of experience in mechanical and electrical assembly or a related field.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time, repetitively.
- Must have good hand/eye coordination.
- Prolonged periods standing, bending, maneuvering, and performing repetitive tasks.
