Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Verify inspection data with double gaging to ensure component integrity and resolve discrepancies found during part inspection.
- Assist the MRB team in identification of dimensional issues.
- Run moderately complex setups and inspection programs.
- Diagnose and resolve issues that may arise in reported output and calibration.
- This includes basic programming, verifying downloads, and communicating results.
- Interpret dimensional tolerances and apply them to components of enhance complexity.
- Able to identify external specifications referenced in technical documentation and apply to the inspection process.
- Participate in problem-solving teams for driving to root cause of internal and external quality failures, particularly related to the prevention of customer escapes.
- Participate in 5S Workplace organizational activities and maintain the area in good working order through sustainment activities, including requests for maintenance assistance when needed.
- Regular on-site attendance and punctuality is a necessary function of this position.
- May be required to work in other functional areas and/or facilities depending on business needs.
- May be required to work overtime or alternate shifts based on business needs.
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Education/Experience & Skills
- High School diploma or equivalent, or equivalent combination of education and experience, and 3-6 years of related work experience.
- Possess high fluency in primary area of inspection ability and committed to developing capability to participate in others.
- Ability to identify datum structures and correctly interpret GD&T in accordance with ASME Y14.5 with limited assistance required.
- Highly proficient in blueprint reading.
- Able to interpret dimensional tolerances and apply them to components of enhanced complexity.
- Able to identify external specifications referenced in technical documentation and apply to the inspection process.
- Able to complete tasks as assigned in a timely manner.
- Effectively communicate to supervision regarding problems and corrective action.
- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to work in a team environment, share information, and respect and assist other team members.
