Mechanical Designer

About the role

Our client, a leading manufacturing company dedicated to producing innovative and high-quality products, is seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer to join their dynamic engineering team. The Mechanical Designer will play a key role in creating detailed mechanical designs and drawings to support the development and production of manufacturing systems and components.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment, dies, tools, and controls, using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) software.
• Coordinate with and consult other workers to design, layout, or detail components and systems and to resolve design or other problems.
• Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed.
• Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems.
• Designing and executing complex 3D models for manufacturing and assembly.
• Collaborating with the engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure efficient production.
• Ensuring all designs meet legal guidelines and safety requirements.
• Working with welding related to structural steel and pressure vessels.

Qualifications

• An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer-Aided Design and Drafting.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in the Manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling software.
• Extensive knowledge of welding related to structural steel and pressure vessels.
• Excellent technical drawing skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• The ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Pay

$100,000 – $120,000 per year
