Mechanical Design Engineer II

About the role

Honeywell International Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer II to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. This role involves contributing to the design and development of innovative mechanical solutions that meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and systems in accordance with project requirements and industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define mechanical design specifications and ensure seamless integration with other disciplines.
• Perform mechanical analysis to validate design performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
• 2+ years of experience in mechanical design and development.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and methodologies.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as NX, SolidWorks or CATIA, and experience with mechanical analysis and simulation tools to ensure design integrity and performance.
• Experience with materials selection, manufacturing processes, and tolerance analysis.
• Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field is preferred.
• Experience working in aerospace or related high-reliability industries.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of industry standards such as ASME, and aerospace quality requirements.
