Mechanical Design Engineer (Entry Level 2027)

(Hybrid) Description As a Mechanical Design Engineer at DMC, you will design mechanical systems for automation, test, and embedded hardware projects. Working alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams and customers, you will help deliver practical, high-quality solutions while growing your technical skills.This role is for any entry level engineer (0-3 years of experience) looking for a position in 2027. Responsibilities Executes mechanical design for multidisciplinary projects Upholds engineering standards, tools, and best practices Partners with customers and cross functional teams to develop designs, and support implementation. Manages tasks with project teams, prioritizing needs and addressing risks and roadblocks Requirements B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field (minimum GPA 3.4) 0-3 years of mechanical design experience Exposure to 3D CAD tools (e.g. SolidWorks, Fusion 360, CATIA, etc.) Quick learner with strong desire for continuous improvement Interest in understanding manufacturing processes and standards Experienced designing custom fabricated components (preferred) Up to 25% travel ITAR Requirements To conform to U.S. Government commercial space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3), applicants for employment at DMC must be a U.S. citizen or national, lawfully admitted for permanent residence into the U.S. (i.e. current green card holder), or lawfully admitted as a refugee or granted asylum under 8 U.S.C. § 1157-1158.
