About the role

This position involves developing and optimizing designs using 3D CAD software and associated CAE tools. The role also includes validating manufacturing, assembly, and service feasibility of components, completing and releasing component designs and associated documentation, including 2D drawings, validating components according to defined engineering requirements, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and concerns, participating in the sourcing process and managing relationships with suppliers, and delivering projects according to defined schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize designs using 3D CAD software and associated CAE tools.
  • Validate manufacturing, assembly, and service feasibility of components.
  • Complete and release component designs and associated documentation, including 2D drawings.
  • Validate components according to defined engineering requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and concerns.
  • Participate in the sourcing process and manage relationships with suppliers.
  • Deliver projects according to defined schedules.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (CATIA is a plus).
  • Basic knowledge of GD&T (proficiency is a plus).
  • 2+ years of experience in component design, analysis, and validation.
  • Strong technical and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Evidence of being a self-starter and completing projects independently.

Qualifications

  • Relevant engineering experience is valued, with openings from entry-level to expert.
