Mechanical Design Engineer - Automotive

About the role
Support and lead mechanical design engineering activities in a particular area. Play an active role in the delivery. Integrate deliveries from others and secure quality and readiness before release. Ensure the design fulfills the business targets and requirements. Provide input in product and system roadmaps. Network and build relationships with universities and external institutes for your technical area. Participate in business development and innovation. Develop and manage networking across the organization and provide inputs to project prerequisites based on component history.
Responsibilities
- Design technical solutions according to given prerequisites (e.g., function, style, volume, geometry, costs, quality target, and regulations) in mechanical areas
- Support junior team members and peers
- Serve as a role model of lifelong learning, sharing knowledge, and developing others as a trainer and/or coach
- Develop a broader T-shaped profile while deepening expertise in your own discipline
- Work confidently within the wider company network and develop influence
- Clearly articulate how you are creating value within your part for the technical development/business area
Requirements
- 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical design engineering
