About the role
We are seeking a talented individual to join our team as an Automotive Body Structure Designer.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage 3D models, layouts, and 2D drawings using CATIA or similar CAD software.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, testing, manufacturing, and purchasing to meet design and performance goals.
- Lead part development activities with suppliers, setting targets and ensuring requirements are achieved.
- Support vehicle and part verification, developing countermeasures as needed.
- Estimate and monitor part cost, weight, and investment throughout development.
- Design structural and styled components for areas such as the engine room, floor, and bumper, utilizing various materials and manufacturing processes.
- Research and develop new technologies for future vehicle applications.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 0-2 years relevant experience.
- Proficiency in CATIA or similar CAD tools.
- Self-motivated, organized, and effective communicator.
