About the role

We’re looking for a proactive and hands-on engineer to join our Chassis Team, helping to design and develop the next generation of market-leading products. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a solid academic foundation and some industry experience who is ready to build on their skills, take on greater responsibility, and make a real impact within a collaborative engineering environment.

Responsibilities

Contribute to the design and development of systems and components, supporting projects from concept through to production
Produce and develop engineering drawings, 3D models, and supporting documentation to a high standard
Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver effective design solutions
Support product launches and provide engineering input to resolve production and in-service issues
Investigate technical issues, carry out root cause analysis, and implement practical, robust solutions
Apply engineering best practice, ensuring quality, compliance, and attention to detail throughout the design process

Requirements

HNC/HND/Apprenticeship or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
Relevant industry experience, ideally in automotive or related sectors
Good understanding of core engineering principles (e.g. materials, stress, fatigue, and design fundamentals)
Experience using CAD software (Solid Edge desirable but not essential) and producing engineering drawings
Awareness of manufacturing processes and design for manufacture/assembly principles
Strong problem-solving skills, with the confidence to take ownership of tasks and see them through
Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach to working within a team
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365

Pay

Between £35,000 and £45,000 per annum, dependent on experience
