Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

Senior Mechanical Engineer position based in Butte, Montana, working in an advanced product development environment focused on providing quality products to demanding industrial manufacturing businesses. This role involves designing state-of-the-art technologies with both near-term and future commercial potential, supporting a broad range of prototype, pre-commercial, and new commercial products.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for assigned projects from inception to completion
• Generate project requirements to resolve product/process problems and support the development of new products/processes
• Initiate technical investigations and prepare design specifications, analyses, and recommendations for presentation to management for approval
• Perform mechanical design for a broad range of prototype, pre-commercial, and new commercial products in an advanced product development environment
• Provide technical leadership with emphasis on designing products for manufacture

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Bachelor's or Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution (preferred)
• 6+ years of experience in Mechanical Design
• Experience with SolidWorks or similar platform
• Finite Element Analysis expertise
• ANSYS experience required

Pay

• Annual Salary: $90,000 – $130,000 USD
