About the Role
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Fremont, California. This is a 100% onsite position focused on product structuring, manufacturing, and design for industrial automation and semiconductor equipment.
Responsibilities
- Product structuring and BOM management
- Design and detailed drawing creation of sheet metal and machined components for complex and precise parts
- Concept generation for mechanical systems
- Application of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and tolerance stack-up analysis
- Reading and interpreting schematics and P&ID drawings
- Implementation of DFX (Design for Excellence) and DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in manufacturing processes
- Experience in industrial automation and semiconductor equipment design
- Knowledge of clean room-compatible materials and clean room requirements
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of vacuum systems and gas systems
- Experience with system cooling and water flow analysis
