About the role
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting the Mechanical Design, Manufacturing, Sourcing, and Product Development teams. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Own component modification projects from concept through implementation.
- Perform mechanical design of hardware components and create engineering models and drawings.
- Develop PLM BOMs and engineering change instructions.
- Support procurement, manufacturing, assembly, testing, and supplier qualification activities.
- Collaborate with suppliers and engineering teams to drive cost reduction and manufacturability improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of mechanical design engineering experience.
- Experience with CAD modeling, engineering drawings, and hardware design modifications.
- Experience supporting manufacturing, assembly, and supplier interactions.
- Ability to work onsite full-time in Greenville, SC and attend a 4-hour in-person interview.
