- Ledesigns from concept through release, including feasibility studies, prototyping, testing, integration, and manufacturing support.
- Compose and maintain engineering documentation, including drawings, BOMs, specifications, layouts, and ECOs.
- Develop, program, modify, and optimize CNC machine programs using G-code and M-code to manufacture precision components.
- Lead product configuration and revision control using PLM tools such as Intralink or Enovia.
- Conduct structural, thermal, vibration, and basic FEA analysis.
- Design and integrate electro-mechanical, fluidic, optical, and motion-control subsystems.
- Develop system schematics and layouts based on product and customer requirements.
- Select materials based on thermal, chemical, and mechanical performance requirements.
- Partner with manufacturing and suppliers to improve quality, cost, and manufacturability.
- Support prototype builds, solve, root cause analysis, and design improvements.
- Lead and participate in design reviews to ensure quality, reliability, and safety standards are met.
Requirements
- Independently implement sustaining and new product development projects.
- Own mechanical subsystem design, release, and lifecycle support.
- Support system integration, testing, qualification, and validation activities.
- Develop test procedures, manufacturing documentation, and service instructions.
- Drive solving and root cause investigations for complex technical issues.
- Collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and supplier teams to deliver solutions.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Independent implementation of sustaining and new product development projects; owning mechanical subsystem design, release, and lifecycle support; collaborating across engineering, manufacturing, and supplier teams to deliver solutions.
