About the role
This role focuses on the development, optimization, and validation of automotive plastic components within the Vehicle Packaging team.
Responsibilities
- Deliver designs optimized for weight, precision, and durability.
- Perform CAD, FEA, and durability simulations.
- Conduct design reviews ensuring compliance with ASTM and ISTA standards.
- Develop technical specifications for supplier bidding.
- Research new materials and improve manufacturing techniques.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in Mechanical Design.
- Expertise in plastics design and manufacturing.
- Proficiency in CATIA, Pro-Engineer, and ANSYS.
- Solid understanding of GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and DFM.
