The Role
The primary purpose of the Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for carrying out the duties for the Engineer department, including design, research, prototyping, engineering documentation, estimating and process improvement.

What You Get To Do
- Complete 3D designs for new, and existing machine components, fabrications and assemblies.
- Create machine documentation from BOMs for manufacture through to parts manuals and after-sales service.
- Create layouts in AutoCAD for potential customers.
- Create presentations of the equipment in PowerPoint using 3D SolidWorks models that we provide.
- Assist with creation of operational manuals for the existing equipment.
- Aid in finding local suppliers for some parts (if required in the future).

Qualifications
- Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering degree or similar.
- Experience in AutoCAD.
- Experience designing for the food industry and an understanding of hygienic design requirements.
- Experience in sheet metal design and an understanding of welding advantages and limitations.
- Experience in SolidWorks would be an advantage.

- Base Salary Range: $85,600 to $128,400
- Compensation for roles performed outside of specified jurisdictions may vary.

Pay and Schedule
Starting salary range: $85,600 to $107,000; however, base pay offered may vary within the full salary range $85,600 to $128,400 depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
