Mechanical Design Engineer
Responsibilities
- Develop 3D models and detailed 2D drawings for electronic enclosures, components, and assemblies using SolidWorks and AutoCAD software.
- Translate engineering requirements into manufacturable mechanical designs, ensuring proper fit, form, and function.
- Collaborate with electrical engineers, manufacturing teams, and suppliers to support product development and production.
- Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), drawings, and design documentation.
- Support prototype builds, testing, and design validation; revise designs based on feedback and results.
- Ensure designs meet industry standards, safety requirements, and internal specifications.
- Affirmative action and design for manufacturability (DFM), tolerance analysis, and material selection.
- Troubleshoot design issues during production and recommend practical solutions.
Requirements
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of GD&T, mechanical engineering principles, and drafting.
- Experience in mechanical design for electronics.
- Ability to perform tolerance analysis and layout design.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $31.25/hr.
