Mechanical Critical Facility Technician 3 (U) - Mechanicsburg, P with Security Clearance

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and repair complex heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
• Maintain and repair minor plumbing systems, including pumps, valves, and piping.
• Install, maintain, and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Monitor and control environmental systems using BMS platforms like Niagara, Tridium, Siemens, or Johnson Controls.
• Read and interpret mechanical, plumbing, and electrical diagrams to perform maintenance and repairs.
• Use CMMS software to track and document work orders, repairs, and maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 8+ years' work experience, including 3+ years in critical facility operations, such as data centers or hospitals
• Current EPA 608 certification or must obtain within 90 days of employment
• Experience with chillers greater than 300 tons, boilers, or significant other mechanical experiences
• Pass the NITC Journey Level HVAC exam within the first year of employment

Abilities

• Ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Physical strength and stamina to perform various tasks, including loading, unloading, operating equipment, and assisting in the transportation of various materials
• Good vision, the ability to see in color, and the ability to hear and communicate in English
• May use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools
• Ability to recognize when something is wrong or likely to go wrong
• Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense
• Combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions
