This position will lead mechanical construction projects safely on time and within budget for various markets including Healthcare, Life Science, Commercial, Industrial and a wide range of other markets.

About the Role

This position will lead mechanical construction projects safely on time and within budget for various markets including Healthcare, Life Science, Commercial, Industrial and a wide range of other markets. The Project Manager has the following duties which include safety of UMEC field personnel assigned to the projects, field labor productivity, quality assurance and coordination, project financial outcome, projections and reporting, material and equipment procurement, change order management, owner/client relations, project cash flow, and personnel management.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Comply with all company operating policies, procedures, executed plans, and programs.
  • Prioritize in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.

  • Perform basic business mathematical functions.
  • Manage time and details effectively.
  • Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Handle and archive technical data.
  • Comply with all operating policies, procedures, plans, and programs.
  • Able to effectively operate the following computer software programs - Microsoft (Excel, Works, Project, Access, and Powerpoint), Bluebeam Revu PDF editing, Vista-Viewpoint (Project Management & Accounting Software), and Quotesoft Estimating Software.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years construction work-related experience and/or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform basic business mathematical functions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Organizational skills in handling & archiving technical data.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.
  • Ability to manage time and details effectively.
  • Ability to comply with all operating policies, procedures, plans, and programs.
