Key Responsibilities
- Accurate fitting, alignment and adjustment to very close tolerances and strict inspections.
- Work from engineering specifications, blueprints and general instructions to plan assembly procedures and methods.
- Test complete products or subassemblies to meet exacting operating requirements.
- Perform bench and floor assembly of a wide range of complicated mechanical and electrical-electronic control equipment.
- Use all types of precision measuring instruments, hand and power tools.
- Makes suggestions for product improvement.
- Detect faulty operation, defective material, and refer these and other situations to Supervision.
- Follows standard safety regulations and maintains good housekeeping in area.
Requirements
- High School or Technical School Diploma.
- Experience in a Manufacturing Environment.
- Familiarity with at least three of the following: mechanical assembly, electrical assembly, piping (including air-pneumatic, water, and hydraulic), use of a variety of hand and power tools, measuring and test instruments and material handling equipment, and fabrication and welding parts as required to support production requirements.
