About the Role

The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling preformed sheet metal parts using equipment such as drills, wrenches, high-pressure carts, and more. The ideal candidate will also assemble and pressure test valves and similar components.

Responsibilities

  • Use equipment such as drills, wrenches, high-pressure carts, screwdrivers, hammers, and other tools to perform duties safely and efficiently.
  • Assemble and pressure test valves and similar components.
  • Accurately interpret assembly and sub-assembly drawings and sketches.
  • Maintain good housekeeping in individual work areas.
  • Maintain a daily time log of work done on manufacturing and/or production travelers.
  • Establish standards and procedures for continuous improvement (CIT).
  • Stay current with technical and supervisory skills by attending training classes, seminars, exhibits, and trade shows as needed.
  • Follow information security policies in alignment with ISO 27001, safeguard company data and systems, and report any suspected security incidents or violations.
  • Perform other assignments as directed by supervisors.

Requirements

  • Experience in assembling preformed sheet metal parts and using mechanical equipment associated with the role.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and measuring scales or tapes proficiently.
  • Ability to work in a team or solo environment.
  • Familiarity with tablets and computers.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
