Mechanical Assembler - Temporary

About the role

We are seeking a Temporary Mechanical Assembler (Entry Level) to support production operations by assembling and testing pumps and related components. This is a great opportunity for a college student or someone looking for summer work in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble pumps and subassemblies using drawings and work instructions
• Operate hand tools, presses, and assembly equipment
• Perform testing and quality checks on finished products
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Work collaboratively in a team environment

Requirements

Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects/tools and reach with hands and arms; occasionally required to walk or sit; regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds; rarely lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required: close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Mechanical aptitude required; manufacturing/assembly experience a plus
• Ability to read drawings/instructions preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet production schedules
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Temporary position with training provided

Pay

Base pay: $17 - $19 per hour
