Job Summary

The Intermediate Mechanical Assembler will perform a variety of tasks relating to production operations on electronics and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.

Job Responsibilities

  • Install, assemble and inspect electronic components per documented work instructions.
  • Interpret job routers, written instructions, wiring diagrams and schematic drawings for assembly of electronics.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, leadership and initiatives on a daily basis.
  • Perform a variety of inspections to ensure assemblies meet/exceed IPC standards.
  • Perform pass downs with outgoing/incoming shifts.
  • Use hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws.
  • Disassemble and re-assemble, modify, rework assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Typically requires 2(+) years of mechanical assembly experience.
  • Must have meticulous hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Must be able to work under a microscope as needed.
  • Ability to work with small hand tools.
  • Knowledge of ESD (Electrostatic discharge) procedures.
  • Must be detail oriented and able to multitask.
  • Must be able to work OT as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two or more years of manufacturing experience.
  • Electronics assembly and inspection experience.
  • Soldering skills preferred.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions.
  • High School Diploma or GED.

Physical Demands

  • Constantly move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue.
  • Specific abilities required by the job include positioning oneself to lift or move objects weighing up to 40lbs.
  • Frequent movement and use of limbs.
  • Specific abilities required by this job include prolonged standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing and frequently pinching and/or gripping.
  • Sometimes, working under a microscope for long periods of time will be required.
  • Frequent observation, detection, discernment, and conveyance of information.
  • Specific abilities required by this job include near, far and color vision acuity, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Frequent requirement of overtime work.

Pay & Benefits

  • Salary Range for this position: $38,300.00 - $76,600.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in FL, GA, IN, AZ, AL, MD or TX, and all remote employees $42,900.00 - $85,800.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in VA, CA, NH or MA $45,200.00 - $90,400.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in NJ.
