Lead and Support Assembly Lines

Demonstrate proficiency across all assembly lines, stepping into any line to build with minimal support, and backing up the production lead in their absence.

Drive Quality and Troubleshooting:

  • Apply advanced quality processes (such as A3 and Root Cause Analysis)
  • Perform audits
  • Test machines built on multiple lines
  • Possess deep product troubleshooting skills

Manage Line Metrics & Resources:

  • Actively manage line metrics
  • Update team boards
  • Navigate SAP with a high-level understanding to cross-compare schedules and plan resource workloads

Optimize Operations & Lean Principles:

  • Successfully execute advanced KPS training
  • Apply lean principles
  • Resolve part shortages
  • Handle engineering change requests (ECR) or deviations as they relate to assembly

Ensure Process Execution

  • Follow strict work instructions
  • Standardized work
  • Quality checkpoints
  • Specialized tasks like trimming plastics, utilizing taping systems, and packing machines

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years related assembly experience
  • Ability to read and understand drawings for parts identification
  • Strong familiarity with a wide variety of hand and air tools
  • Proficiency on the following tools within 90 days: Hand / air screwdriver, nut driver, tape machine, adjustable wrench, cable tie gun, wire cutter/stripper/crimper, hammer, hand and air ratchet, needle nose pliers, torque wrench, torque gun, knife, scissors, tape measure, ring pliers, vice grip, vice, hand press, hose cutter, tap, banding machine, rivet gun, lift table, air chunks, air impact, stapler, foam gun, nail gun, heat gun, electric drill, and scrapper
  • Ability to operate and drive machinery
  • Work comfortably around heavy machinery/forklifts
  • Apply basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)

Physical Demands

  • Standing for 8 hours and frequent walking required

Work Environment

  • Near moving mechanical parts
  • Frequent exposure to airborne particles
  • High noise level in the work environment
  • Proper protective equipment is required
