On-siteOTHRFull-time
We value our talented employees and strive to help associates grow professionally before recruiting new talent. This role leads safe, high‑quality execution of mechanical (machinist) work while overseeing site inspection activities to ensure ongoing mechanical integrity, reliability, and regulatory compliance of fixed equipment and piping systems.
Accountability 1: Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) Objectives
- Meet all SHE objectives and comply with governmental laws, policies, INEOS Life‑Saving Rules, the INEOS 20 Principles of Process and Behavioral Safety, and site standards.
- Prioritize team safety above all outcomes, promoting compliance and safe behaviors.
- Ensure mechanical and inspection activities meet site environmental requirements, including reporting, emissions control programs, and regulatory‑driven repair timelines (e.g., LDAR).
- Manage compliance of craftsmen and inspection personnel with process‑safety and personal‑safety requirements, certifications, testing, and safe execution of NDE activities.
- Provide visible field leadership through safety observations, audits, job‑site visits, and reinforcement of safe behaviors for employees and contractors.
- Adhere to the SHE incident‑management system: report incidents, participate in investigations, identify root causes, and close corrective actions promptly.
- Maintain strong awareness of process hazards and mechanical/inspection‑related risks (stored energy, pressure systems, corrosion mechanisms) and communicate them effectively to execution teams.
- Verify clear understanding of work scope, identifying potential safety and reliability risks before execution.
- Initiate and enforce safe‑work practices such as confined‑space entry, hot work, line breaks, and specialized inspection hazards (radiography controls, elevated work, etc.).
- Provide technical guidance on safe‑work permitting and serve as an elevated reviewer for complex or high‑risk work scopes.
- Conduct routine safety meetings and toolbox talks that integrate both mechanical and inspection‑specific risks and lessons learned.
- Ensure all tools, machining equipment, and inspection/NDE equipment are fit for purpose, properly maintained, and used safely.
- Reinforce a strong safety culture with contractors performing machining and inspection services, ensuring alignment with INEOS safety expectations.
Accountability 2: Execution of Machining and Mechanical Maintenance Activities
- Oversee machining and mechanical repair activities in the shop and field, ensuring work meets required tolerances, specifications, and quality standards.
- Provide technical expertise in machining, fabrication, and repair techniques to support safe and reliable equipment operation.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and performance issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
