About the Role

Join a fast-growing team building the future. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you’ll support the installation of utility-scale energy projects across the United States. This hands-on role involves working outdoors, collaborating with co-workers, and diagnosing and repairing a variety of heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Performs repairs on all types of heavy equipment
  • Operate equipment to diagnose problems and inspect equipment for defects
  • Assists supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates with a variety of mechanic and related tasks as necessary
  • Work with Oiler to ensure preventative maintenance is completed
  • Order parts and properly complete part requisition forms
  • Working outdoors for extended periods in various weather conditions

Requirements

  • CDL with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements
  • Personal assortment of tools
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background, MVR, physical, drug, and alcohol screen
  • Willingness to travel and relocate to the job site (100% travel)
  • Composite or steel toe work boots

Qualifications

  • Mechanical knowledge usually obtained through a 2-year post-secondary degree
  • Working knowledge of construction equipment maintenance including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, emissions, diesel, gasoline, and record-keeping systems
  • Construction experience
  • Previous solar or wind experience

Pay

Pay Range: $28.00 - $45.00 per hour; per diem based on eligibility. Individual compensation to be determined based on the applicant's applicable experience and qualifications balanced against internal equity and by specific location in alignment with applicable pay laws and regulations.
