Mechanic/Shop Technician

Shop position reporting to the President/Service Manager focused on assembling, repairing, and maintaining agricultural, lawn, and garden equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality work as assigned by the service manager in a professional and timely manner.
• Conduct small and large engine maintenance, welding, fabricating, hydraulic repair, and mechanical work as required by service orders or contracts.
• Repair sprayers, planters, irrigation reels, trucks, mowers, and pumps.
• Assemble new equipment and set up for sale or display.
• Communicate with supervisors regarding equipment issues and answer service-related customer questions courteously.
• Complete all required paperwork, work orders, and time tickets accurately and promptly.
• Assist coworkers when needed.
• Stay updated on job knowledge through training and educational opportunities.
• Maintain company tools and equipment.
• Exhibit personal and professional integrity at all times.
• Create and maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience with small engine maintenance (1 year required).
• Briggs & Stratton certified mechanic preferred but not required.
• Basic electrical knowledge in AC & DC circuits and ability to use a voltmeter.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and own form of transportation.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Reliable commute or relocation to Curtice, OH 43412 before starting work (preferred).

Pay

$20.00 – $25.00 per hour depending on experience.

Schedule

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime as needed
• Weekends as needed
