About the Role

The PM Mechanic position at Nemacolin is an integral part of the Engineering Team. The Technician performs multi-skilled duties in the maintenance and repair of resort buildings, off-campus housing systems, and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Provides a variety of general, mechanical, and preventative maintenance duties as well as inspections, servicing, repair, and overhaul of equipment for resort satellite buildings.
  • Works independently coordinating daily workflow in maintaining assigned building projects.
  • Prioritizes repair requests and plans work to ensure necessary parts are available and tasks are completed quickly and efficiently.
  • Inspects drives, motors, belts, checks fluid levels, replaces filters, and performs other maintenance actions, following checklists.
  • Performs routine preventative maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, including ice machines and building systems, and maintains the physical condition of buildings.
  • Performs routine preventative maintenance on HVAC units/equipment such as filters, condensate pans & drains, belts, and motors.
  • May respond to 24-hour emergency calls for assigned work area to perform emergency building or equipment repairs during off-duty hours using a vehicle, telephone, hand, power, and specialty tools, and necessary materials.
  • Receives and reviews work orders/requests to determine estimated cost and man-hour requirements; requisitions and/or purchases supplies and materials.
  • Performs prescribed maintenance checks as scheduled.
  • May perform additional duties as assigned, including but not limited to snow removal, use of the Manager Plus system, preventative maintenance program, rotating shifts, or other unrelated Engineering job functions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three years of general building maintenance experience or equivalent technical training; a combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers and other associates.
  • EPA certification preferred.
  • Ability to speak English.
  • Proficiency in using computers, cell phones, and technology apps to request, receive, and process work orders.
  • Ability to use respirators for certain tasks.
