Mechanic Maintenance
Responsible for performing various general maintenance tasks throughout the complex and satellite facilities. Work includes basic tasks in any of the department trades (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, Painting, Grounds maintenance, etc.).
Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance tasks across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and grounds maintenance.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Up to one year of technical training or 3–5 years of related work experience if technical training is not applicable.
- Valid driver’s license with no pending violations and an acceptable driving record as stipulated by SJH policy and insurance carrier (for those required to drive a hospital vehicle).

About The Team
St. Joseph’s University Medical Center is an academic tertiary care medical center and state-designated trauma center located on the Paterson campus. It regularly accepts referrals of difficult or unusual cases from other hospitals and physicians and performs both complex and routine procedures. The Medical Center offers a full complement of specialty and subspecialty services, including ambulatory, behavioral health, cardiovascular, emergency/trauma, internal medicine, neuroscience, oncology, orthopedic/spine, rehabilitation, surgical specialty, women’s health, imaging, and pediatrics.

Pay
St. Joseph’s Health provides a salary range to comply with New Jersey law. The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, and skills. The salary range does not include incentives, differential pay, or other forms of compensation.
