Responsibilities

  • Disassemble, reposition, reassemble, test, and paint moderate to highly complex natural gas engine and compressor equipment.
  • Use manual, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools to fit, adjust, and secure precision components.
  • Clean, inspect, and repair natural gas engine and compressor components in a shop environment.
  • Read detailed prints and use micrometers, dial calipers, and dial indicators to verify tolerances.
  • Conduct risk assessments before operations and material movements.
  • Troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance on mechanical equipment.
  • Keep facility equipment and tooling operational, efficient, and safe.
  • Identify and report problems or hazardous conditions during equipment operations.
  • Complete required training and documentation accurately and on time.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized working environment, and collaborate closely with your team.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of experience in mechanical test and assembly/disassembly, or heavy equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Able to interpret drawings, prints, and engineering specifications.
  • Comfortable with basic math and reading schematics.
  • Physically able to push, pull, lift, bend, and perform other physical tasks required in a shop setting.
  • Available to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Hold a valid driver's license.
  • A team player with strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently to engineering specifications.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in operations or service center applications.
  • Strong knowledge of natural gas engine and compressor equipment.
  • Experience setting up and running test operations to engineering specifications.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and good housekeeping practices.
