Mechanic I - Facilities

About the role

This position is responsible for minor plumbing repairs, repairs to small appliances, and regular maintenance of building systems. Maintains the building’s appearance; may also move office furniture and/or casino games and change signage and posters throughout the property and at off-property locations.

Responsibilities

• Performs minor maintenance, such as changing light bulbs and replacement of air filters.
• Performs routine checks of utility systems to ensure their proper operation.
• Assists Facilities Mechanic II and/or III on repairs and maintenance duties.
• Installs posters, banners, and other promotional props.
• Climbs ladders or uses other equipment to change indoor and outdoor signage.
• Relocates and arranges gaming tables, exhibits, and props.
• Moves, arranges, and assembles office furniture and equipment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Some background in one or more of the building maintenance fields, such as heating/air conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical.
• Literate and fluent in English.
• Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business.
• Acts as a role model to other team members and always presents oneself as a credit to Caesars Entertainment and encourages others to do the same.
• Adheres to all regulatory, company, and department policies and procedures.

Additional Requirements

• Visual field must include immediate environment.
• Auditory range must include immediate environment.
• Physical mobility to move about property quickly.
• Must be able to routinely walk five to ten miles per shift.
• Ability to frequently lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds; occasionally up to 90 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders or crawl through tight spaces in high or low areas while carrying approximately 30 pounds of tools or equipment.
• Agility skills to include occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, twisting, and turning.
• Dexterity skills to include constant reaching, handling, working with fingers, and hand coordination.
• Ability to tolerate tight spaces in high or low areas.
• Ability to tolerate dust, chemicals, or fumes.
• Potential exposure to hazardous conditions.
• Must be able to work in a smoke-filled environment and tolerate loud noises and bright lights.
• Must be capable of working indoors or outdoors during all seasons, including unusually hot, cold, smoky, and/or dimly lit areas.
• Positions that have contact with the public require the ability to work in a noisy environment and may be exposed to guests who use tobacco products. Non-public contact positions may be required to enter public areas from time to time in connection with their duties and may be subject to the same environment.
