Mechanic, Heavy Equipment - Bornite Camp, AK - Rotational

Responsibilities

• Inspect and make repairs on all aspects of automotive vehicles and equipment.
• Do general and major work on vehicles, buses, light and heavy trucks, graders, and other automotive diesel and mechanical equipment.
• Inspect, adjust and replace necessary units and related parts.
• Tune motors using standard testing equipment.
• Repair and overhaul brakes, transmissions, differentials, front and rear axle assemblies; repair and install hydraulic controls.
• Perform different phases of tire work and minor body repairs.
• Perform emergency road repairs and test vehicles and equipment to ensure safe operating conditions.
• Prepares shop work orders on equipment repair, and orders parts as needed to maintain stock.
• Makes service calls as needed.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of ten (10) years Heavy Equipment Mechanic experience will be considered.
• Previous remote rotational work experience as Heavy Equipment Mechanic required.
• One (1) year Heavy Equipment Mechanic experience repairing and troubleshooting Caterpillar mining equipment.
• Drivers License and acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under company vehicle insurance policy.
