Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Mechanic to join our busy repair shop. As an Heavy Truck Mechanic, you will be diagnosing and repairing issues with vehicles' performance and function.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicles coming into the shop
• Carry out routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as tire rotations, oil changes, and brake pad replacements
• Conduct in-depth vehicle inspections of all systems, including engine, transmission, and brakes
• Create repair estimates and timelines and convey information to customers in an easy-to-understand manner
• Maintain accurate repair shop records and paperwork
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and repeat business

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is required
• An associate degree or completion of an automotive service technician training program is preferred
• Automotive Service Excellence/ASE certification or Society of Automotive Engineers/SAE certification is preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills are required

Pay

The ideal candidate will earn a compensation range of $21.00 - $30.00 per hour.
