Mechanic Class A - Receiver

Job Summary

Drexel University Facilities seeks a candidate to handle deliveries at the University City Main Campus. This class A Mechanic role involves both delivery processing and building maintenance.

Essential Functions

• Follow daily shipping and receiving procedures.
• Receive deliveries and check for short or damaged goods.
• Utilize tracking bar coding systems.
• Maintain records of all transactions.
• Cook up supplies and manage inventory of building materials.
• Prepare packages for shipping.
• Aid employees in acquiring materials and parts.
• Operate forklifts for storing material.
• Use various hand tools.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
• Valid Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficient in bar coding software systems.
• Experience with inventory control systems.
• Able to work in all weather conditions.

Physical Demands

• Standing, walking.
• Bending, crouching, stooping.
• Lifting ≤ 50 lbs.
