Position Summary
The Mechanic (Hydraulic & All Terrain Equipment) is responsible for inspecting and repairing vehicles and machinery. This position oversees maintenance inspections, monitors inventory, assembles mechanical components, and performs repairs. The Mechanic (Hydraulic & All Terrain Equipment) operates as a hydraulic technician and is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing hydraulic components on equipment.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Counsels and trains employees in the proper use of tools and equipment.
- Conducts regular maintenance on machinery, systems, vehicles.
- Designs plan of action for all tasks and upgrades.
- Examines machines and oversees diagnostic tests to determine functionality problems.
- Maintains work logs, repairs, and maintenance records.
- Rotates and balances tires, maintains oil, filters, and fluids, lubricates parts, inspects and replaces hoses and belts.
- Reassembles machines and equipment.
- Contains costs through the use of warranty claims and evaluates service and parts options.
- Updates knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; such as reading technical publications.
Requirements
- Two (2) or more years of experience as a Mechanic.
- In-depth knowledge of vehicle diagnostic equipment and mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of essential job functions and responsibilities.
- Attention to detail.
- Organizational skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to problem solve.
- Meet all physical requirements of the position.
- Pass all drug and alcohol screens as required by Company policy and, if applicable, required by DOT regulations.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age, or 21 if CDL is required.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Preferred: Associates Degree or Vocational/Trade School Certification, Welding Certifications, ASE Certifications, Fluid Power Certifications, Class A CDL License.
