Mechanic

Position Summary

The Mechanic (Hydraulic & All Terrain Equipment) is responsible for inspecting and repairing vehicles and machinery. This position oversees maintenance inspections, monitors inventory, assembles mechanical components, and performs repairs. The Mechanic (Hydraulic & All Terrain Equipment) operates as a hydraulic technician and is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing hydraulic components on equipment.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Counsels and trains employees in the proper use of tools and equipment.
• Conducts regular maintenance on machinery, systems, vehicles.
• Designs plan of action for all tasks and upgrades.
• Examines machines and oversees diagnostic tests to determine functionality problems.
• Maintains work logs, repairs, and maintenance records.
• Rotates and balances tires, maintains oil, filters, and fluids, lubricates parts, inspects and replaces hoses and belts.
• Reassembles machines and equipment.
• Contains costs through the use of warranty claims and evaluates service and parts options.
• Updates knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; such as reading technical publications.

Requirements

• Two (2) or more years of experience as a Mechanic.
• In-depth knowledge of vehicle diagnostic equipment and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of essential job functions and responsibilities.
• Attention to detail.
• Organizational skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to problem solve.
• Meet all physical requirements of the position.
• Pass all drug and alcohol screens as required by Company policy and, if applicable, required by DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age, or 21 if CDL is required.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Preferred: Associates Degree or Vocational/Trade School Certification, Welding Certifications, ASE Certifications, Fluid Power Certifications, Class A CDL License.
