About the role
Stepan is seeking a Maintenance Tech/Electrician to join our team in Columbus, Georgia.
Responsibilities
- Perform general facility equipment maintenance for mechanical/electrical equipment (ex. reactors, vacuum pumps, steam boiler, oil heaters, air compressors, etc.).
- Perform general facility equipment basic troubleshooting and repairs for mechanical equipment (ex. replacing motors, changing motor bearings, replacing a valve, etc.).
- Perform any emergency repair activity assigned by the Maintenance Planner or the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Perform equipment calibrations
- Provides off-shift plant support as part of the on-call maintenance rotation schedule within six months of starting the position.
Qualifications
- 1 – 3 Years’ experience as an industrial electrician.
- Knowledge in maintain and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
- Mechanical troubleshooting and installation are not required but preferred.
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
Requirements
High School Diploma – Preferred 2 Years Technical Degree.
