Mechanic

About the role

As a mechanic, your focus will be to ensure that all equipment and vehicles are ready and working as needed through proper completion of repairs and maintenance. You’ll communicate and coordinate major repairs and maintenance with Managers, listen to specialists, read Vehicle Inspection Reports, and prioritize your work. You’ll order and receive parts and supplies, complete paperwork for the office and vendors, and train field specialists on equipment maintenance and vehicle operations when possible. You’ll maintain a safe and orderly work environment in the Shop and Yard.

• Perform repairs and maintenance on equipment and vehicles
• Communicate and coordinate major repairs with Managers
• Read Vehicle Inspection Reports and prioritize work
• Order and receive parts and supplies
• Complete paperwork for the office and vendors
• Train field specialists on equipment maintenance and vehicle operations
• Maintain a safe and orderly work environment in the Shop and Yard

Requirements

• Small engine repair experience
• Two-stroke engine repair knowledge
• Diesel engine repair and maintenance experience
• Experience operating and maintaining aerial lifts (bucket) trucks
• Experience with spray equipment, tanks, and pumps
• Own basic tools for engine repair and maintenance
• Ability to read and comprehend instruction manuals and diagnostic charts
• Valid Driver’s license required, CDL preferred
• Must be authorized to lawfully work in the U.S.

ASE certification a plus.

Pay

$28–$38/hr, including a $2,500 sign-on bonus based on experience.
