Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions as they arise
- Perform preventative maintenance following operations manuals as well as electrical and hydraulic diagrams
- Remove and replace defective parts by dismantling devices using hand and power tools
- Test repaired equipment to ensure proper performance when used
- Perform routine maintenance, such as oil changes, tire rotation and placement, etc.
- Perform related duties as requested in a team environment
- Qualify for BIT and DOT inspections
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years experience as a mechanic, diesel experience preferred
- Welding/fabrication experience
- CDL preferred
- Experience with BIT and DOT inspections
- Ability to work with hands, lift heavy objects and stand on your feet for long periods of time often doing repetitive motions
