About the role

Your number one priority as a Mechanic will be to service and repair products that are brought to the store for repair. The Mechanic promotes strong customer relations, a positive work environment and is also responsible for sourcing and ordering parts. Your positive and professional attitude contributes to our winning culture and makes sure we leave a lasting impression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source & order parts for customers
  • Diagnose and repair small engines/equipment
  • Maintain current knowledge of Northern Tool + Equipment's national and private label brands
  • Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience repairing and maintaining small engines
  • The skills to clearly explain the diagnosis and repair of the machine to the customer
  • The ability to recognize and observe all safety and security procedures
  • The desire to treat others with respect and contribute to building a positive team spirit
  • The drive to work with integrity, always upholding company values, while operating a profitable service business
  • Strong organizational skills and fluency with Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of small engine theory (2 and 4 stroke): lubrication, cooling, ignition and fuel systems
  • Certifications in major manufacture brands like Honda, Kohler, Briggs & Stratton, etc. Master certification is a plus!
  • Extensive experience with electrical systems, plunger driven or axial pressure washer pumps and unloader systems, hydraulic theory, and associated diagnostic equipment and procedures

Pay

Earn $18.00 - $29.70 hourly, with your exact compensation personalized based on your skills, experience, and location. We believe in rewarding top talent with pay that reflects your value.

Schedule

This is a full-time role, Monday - Friday, with flexible scheduling to achieve work-life balance.
